The APA (American Poolplayers Association) is a team-based pool league designed for players of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players.

League Nights
  • Matches are played once a week on a designated league night at a host location.
  • Each team plays against another team (home vs. away).
Team Structure
  • Teams usually have 5–8 players on their roster.
  • Each league night consists of 10 total matches:
    • 5 Eight-Ball matches
    • 5 Nine-Ball matches
  • Players may play one match per night (either 8-Ball or 9-Ball), or in some cases both, depending on the lineup.

Skill Levels & Fair Play
  • Every player is assigned a skill level based on performance.
  • Teams must stay within a skill-level cap, which keeps matches fair and balanced so beginners can compete alongside stronger players.
Scoring & Seasons
  • Teams earn points each week based on match results.
  • Points accumulate throughout the session.
  • At the end of the session, top teams advance to playoffs, and a wildcard team is drawn for playoffs.
  • Playoff winners can qualify for higher-level tournaments, including regional and national events in Las Vegas.
